The stadium for the Denver Broncos was once the Mile High Stadium along West 1717 Avenue in Denver. By 2001, a new stadium had been built near Interstate 25. There was some controversy over the name as many fans wanted the new stadium to retain the old name. The new stadium was initially known as Invesco Field, until it was changed to Sports Authority Field in 2011.
