The arms race in the NFC West is showing little signs of slowing down as the Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms on a multi-year contract with defensive end Cliff Avril, reports Albert Breer of the NFL Network. Financial terms were not yet known. Avril, a 2008 third-round pick out of Purdue by the Detroit Lions, has 39.5 sacks in 73 games over the last five seasons. Avril has 20.5 sacks while unsuccessfully pursuing a long-term contract offer from the Lions, who designated the pass-rusher as their franchise player in 2012.
