The Carolina Panthers will be without starting middle linebacker Jon Beason and cornerback Chris Gamble when they host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Beason (knee) and Gamble (shoulder) had been listed as “doubtful” on the Panthers’ final injury report of the week. 2012 first round pick Luke Kuechly will start for Beason with veteran Thomas Davis starting at weak-side linebacker. Captain Munnerlyn gets the start for Gamble. New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez (ankle) is also inactive, as he was expected to be. Hernandez sprained his ankle in Week 2 and, while he returned to practice on a limited basis on Thursday and Friday, he was “questionable” to play on Sunday.
