The two biggest injury stories of the upcoming week both occurred at Sun Life Stadium, where New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis and Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush each exited with left knee injuries. Of the two, Revis’ injury appears to be much more serious. Citing a team source, Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports that the All-Pro cornerback ” probably has a torn ACL “, but the official diagnosis will not be known until after an MRI on Monday. Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that Bush’s injury is not season-ending . Staying in the AFC East, Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller went down with a left shoulder injury in the first quarter of the Bills’ 24-14 win over the Cleveland Browns. Spiller, who led the NFL in rushing entering Sunday’s action, had four carries for 16 yards and two receptions for 42 yards, including a 32-yard touchdown, prior to his injury, which Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com reports is a sprained shoulder that will keep him out for two weeks. The Bills could possibly get Fred Jackson (knee) back for next week’s game against the New England Patriots. Quarterback Matthew Stafford was unavailable to the Detroit Lions during the final moments of their 44-41 loss to the Tennessee Titans after suffering a strained muscle in his right leg in the fourth quarter. Stafford will undergo an MRI on Monday and his availability for next Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings is unknown. The Lions are off the following week, so if it’s iffy, and if they think they can get back to .500 with Shaun Hill — who valiantly led the team back from 14 points down to force overtime on Sunday — as the starter, they may elect to give Stafford the additional time to get back to 100 percent for the final 12 weeks of the regular season.
