Pete Carroll Starting to Lose His Shine as Seahawks Head Coach: Fan Opinion (Yahoo! Contributor Network)

As a lifelong fan of the Seattle Seahawks, I’ve tried to be supportive of head coach Pete Carroll. His way of doing things is different than most coaches, but he had success with USC, and I thought maybe that would build upon his previous stint in the NFL, and Carroll would return the Seahawks to glory.

Hunter Tears Triceps, Could Miss Entire Season

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) – Denver Broncos defensive end Jason Hunter is out at least two months with a torn triceps and might miss the entire season. Hunter is the team’s third defensive lineman to suffer a torn triceps at training camp in the last two years. Elvis Dumervil missed the 2010 season and Ty Warren missed last season. Hunter had supplanted Robert Ayers as the starter at left end two weeks ago. He could be replaced by rookie Derek Wolfe, the team’s top draft choice who had two sacks at Chicago last week, or Ayers. Hunter was injured Tuesday, when starting right guard Chris Kuper broke his left forearm and rookie running back Ronnie Hillman aggravated his pulled right hamstring. Those injuries came a day after recently signed linebacker Keith Brooking got hurt with a hamstring injury. (© Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved. Is Anyone Else as Sick of Tim Tebow News as I Am? Fan’s Take (Yahoo! Contributor Network)

It’s not the first time in my life that I’m glad I don’t live in New York City. As a Denver resident, I was forcibly subjugated to the Tim Tebow-mania that overwhelmed this city for almost two years before the team called an audible to their quarterback plans and made an end dash to the end zone to grab Peyton Manning in free agency. Despite trading Tebow, however, it’s still impossible to get away from any of the news that constantly surrounds the guy even though he’s a couple thousand miles away now.
