LenDale White will miss regular season with Achilles tear (SportingNews.com)

Denver Broncos running back LenDale White will be out for the regular season after tearing his Achilles tendon in the team’s final exhibition game, sources tell ESPN’s Adam Schefter. White was signed as a backup for second-year backs Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter. He was hurt on a 9-yard run in the second quarter at Minnesota and stayed down for a moment before carefully exiting the field. White had been expected to miss the first four games of the season as he serves a suspension for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy.
