Thanks for checking out my list of the top five NFL safeties of all time. Of course with the many, many great safeties to play in the history of the league, this was tough to do. A knowledgeable football fan could probably come up with a top five NFL safeties of all time list and not have any of the guys I picked. When considering the best NFL safeties of all time you need to consider several things. Were they ball hawks? Did they make sure tackles and lots of sacks on the dreaded safety blitz?

Jets sign former Ravens DE Trevor Pryce (AP)

The New York Jets signed Trevor Pryce on Thursday, reuniting the former Baltimore Ravens defensive end with coach Rex Ryan. Pryce will play in the team’s game at Buffalo on Sunday, Ryan confirmed, and will likely be used in passing situations against the Bills. “The guy’s a finisher,” Ryan said.
