The Denver Broncos’ two first-round draft picks, Knowshon Moreno and Robert Ayers, remain unsigned early Friday and missed the official start of training camp.
They’re the first rookie holdouts in Denver since running back Tatem Bell showed up late in 2004.
Moreno, a running back from Georgia, was the 12th overall pick in the draft, and Ayers, a pass-rusher from Tennessee, was the 18th selection.

The 33-year-old rookie coach of the Denver Broncos is going old school, bringing not only Bill Belichick's offensive philosophies with him from New England but also his mentor's approach to training camp. Broncos sign cornerback, wide receiver
The Denver Broncos have signed cornerback Rashod Moulton and wide receiver Travis Shelton.
The team didn’t disclose terms of the contracts Thursday.
