NFL reduces Marshall’s suspension to one game, fine

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has reduced the receiver’s two- to three-game suspension for violation the league’s personal-conduct policy to one game, the Broncos’ season opener at Oakland on Sept. 8. However, the league has fined Marshall one game’s pay, $26,178, plus he will lose that amount for sitting out the Raiders game.

Marshall’s 3-game suspension reduced by NFL

Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall had his suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy reduced from three games to one on Thursday.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Marshall for a series of off-field issues. At the time, Marshall was told the suspension could be cut to two games if he stayed out of trouble and kept in touch with a league-appointed counselor.

Marshall’s suspension begins Saturday. He can return to Broncos headquarters Sept. 9.
